Everyone gets a turn
A catalog is no use if it cannot be read. Here is what we have done and what we know is imperfect.
How it is built
- Headings run in order so a screen reader can skim the page structure
- Every product photograph has alt text describing the toy, not the file name
- The buy stamp is a real button, reachable and operable from the keyboard
- Text contrast is checked against the background it sits on
- Nothing scrolls sideways at any width from a small phone upward
- Nothing moves, flashes or autoplays
Keyboard
Tab moves through the shelves, the cards and the stamps in reading order, and the focus outline is visible rather than suppressed. The menu on narrow screens opens from the keyboard like any other button.
Known rough edges
Our product photographs come from the listing and some of them carry text burned into the image, which a screen reader cannot read. Where that text matters, such as a piece count, we repeat it in the card so it is available either way.
Tell us
If something here blocks you, write to us at the address on the contact page and say what you were trying to do. That is more useful to us than a standards reference, and we will fix it.
